About ARIN
ARIN is the umbrella body for all Radiologists and Radiotherapists in Nigeria. Radiologists are medical doctors who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries through the use of medical imaging modalities.
From the President
Welcome to the Association of Radiologists in Nigeria website. Radiology is a medical specialty.
A Consultant Radiologist is responsible for directing the medical Imaging procedures including acquisition of images, management of images and interpretation and reporting of the images acquired. The supporting staff of consultant Radiologists includes Radiographers, Radiology Nurses, Darkroom Technicians and Records staff, etc.
The Association's drive is to continue to raise standards of Radiological practice in the country and I believe that hosting this website will be an essential facility that will be used to promote the professional image of its members.

Aims and Objectives
a. To maintain the honour and interest of medical profession in general and Radiological practice in particular.
b. To promote honourable practice, improve the status, professional interest, and exercise constant supervision over the affairs of its members.
c. To encourage and promote the advancement of the science of Radiology by the application of radiology to medical practice in Nigeria.
d. To encourage the exchange of professional ideas, collaboration, and relationship among radiologists in Nigeria.
e. To promote the advancement of scientific knowledge by bringing to the knowledge of its members most recent scientific discoveries in the area of radiology through scientific meetings, symposia, conferences and publications.
f. To create cordial relationship and to cooperate with kindred professional bodies both at home and abroad.
g. To advise the government of Nigeria and its agencies on legislation and other professional matters that affect the practice of radiology in Nigeria, radiological service in the country and the health and safety of the public.
h. The care and protection of the interest of radiologists in all matters pertaining to their welfare.
i. To uphold and maintain the ethics of the medical profession and if required to investigate the professional conduct of a member.
J. To identify professional radiologists and to exclude from practice those who have not been identified.
k. To cooperate with the recognised training bodies to ensure that the standard of Nigerian training in Radiology is at per with any other parts of the world.
L. To organize continuous medical education for its members.
M. To undertake any other activity that may be conducive to the realization of the above objectives.
